ചിക്കാഗോ രൂപതാ ബിഷപ്പിനെ നിരാശനാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് കൊപ്പേല്‍ ഇടവക ധ്രുതമായ് വളരുന്നു. കല്‍ദായ ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ ഷോ കേസ് ആയ ഗാര്‍ ലാന്ഡ് പള്ളിയില്‍ നിന്നും അംഗങ്ങള്‍ ആഴ്ച തോറും പൊഴിയുന്നതിനു സമാനമായി ആണ് കൊപ്പെലിന്റെ വളര്‍ച്ച.
മുന്നൂറോളം കുടുംബങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉതകുന്ന ഒന്നായിരുന്നു കൊപ്പേല്‍ പള്ളി. എന്നാല്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടുമൂന്നു വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കകം അംഗസംഘ്യയില്‍ ഗണ്യമായ വര്‍ധനയാണ് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായത്. ഈ പ്രവണത വരും വര്‍ഷങ്ങളിലും തുടരും എന്നാണു വിലയിരുത്തല്‍.
ഈ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ എന്ത് ചെയ്യണം എന്നുള്ളതിനെപ്പറ്റി പല ആശയങ്ങളും കഴിഞ്ഞ പൊതുയോഗത്തില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇപ്പോള്‍ നിലവിലുള്ള പള്ളിക്കെട്ടിടം ഇടിച്ച് നിരത്തി പുതിയതൊന്നു പണിയുകയോ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ വലിയ ഒന്ന് പുതുതായി വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്യുക എന്ന് ഒരു ന്യൂന പക്ഷം വാശി പിടിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ ബിഷപ്പ് അങ്ങാടിയത്തും വികാരിയും അംഗീകരിച്ച, നിലവിലുള്ള പള്ളിയുടെ ഭിത്തി പൊളിച്ചു വിസ്ത്രിതി കൂട്ടുക എന്ന ആശയം ജനങ്ങള്‍ വന്‍ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തോടെ അംഗീകരിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്. ബിഷപ്പിന്‍റെ ആശയത്തിനെതിരെ കൈപൊക്കിയവര്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ പക്ഷക്കാരായ കല്‍ദായ വാദികള്‍ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു എന്നത് ഒരു വിരോധാഭാസം തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. നിലവിലുള്ള പള്ളിക്ക് വലുപ്പം കൂട്ടുമ്പോള്‍ ക്രൂശിത രൂപം സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അള്‍ത്താരയില്‍ മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നും വരില്ല എന്നതാണ് ബിഷപ്പിനെതിരെ കൈപൊക്കുവാന്‍ അവരെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത് എന്ന് വേണം മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാന്‍.

I am so happy to see the Syro-Malabar Voice Blog returning. For a second I thought we were losing this extremely important social medium. As I compliment those who are doing all the hard work behind this blog, I would also like to make one request. Let this new blog be an improvement over the previous one. Let us minimize the personal attacks on people. Let us confine ourselves to comments that are constructive and promoting correction and encouragement as well as educating our brothers in all matters that will build us up spiritually. Let us also hold strongly on to our position regarding the Crucifix. Let us use this blog as a forum for displaying and promoting our faith. Once again, congratulations to the good folks behind this wonderful social medium.
DeleteRegarding growth in the Coppell Church, only what is alive can grow. I truly believe that it is the reason why the Garland Church is not growing. It has been an insult to Jesus Christ and His glorious Cross. It is unfortunate that as St. Paul says in Phil. 3 many live as the enemies of the Cross of Jesus Christ which is the Crucifix. Let us pray for them and assist them in whatever way we can.

You should show the courage to do so.By the way what you say about that Old Man came to parish council as Bishop nominee in the name pastoral council?If he was a member of pastoral council then why he was not there Last parish council when Fr.Saseril was a priest here.So Evil is still active and he is playing through Chgicago Diocese.No use of making voice against them.Now a days there are lot of prists and Bishops are corrupted in our church.This priest is helpless and see he have to accept this back door game of Bishop and recruit this old man.This is what Bishop does always and this is what he did when Fr.Saji was a priest too.

Dear Anonymous: I wish I could come and be with you. But due to lack of time, I am not able to. So my support prayers are with you. Another reason is that I am committed and focused on the Crucifix issue. The burning problem in the Syro-Malabar Church is its allergy towards the Crucifix which is really an allergy towards Jesus Christ. The real question is: "Should you prefer the Mar Thoma Cross over the Cross of Jesus Christ?" The answer is a resounding 'NO'. In Rev. 2:4-5 Jesus says to the Ephesian Church: "Yet I have this against you. You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen. Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place." Our brothers and sisters have forsaken the first love that every Christian MUST be loyal to and be preoccupied with. It is Jesus Christ and His Cross. But the Syro-Malabar Church has fallen terribly. It has gone after the Mar Thoma Cross which is not even the second or third love not to say anything about the first love that Jesus wants from us. So we have to save our Church before Jesus comes and remove the lampstamp which simply means He will stop ministering to the Syro-Malabar Church. I truly believe that we are almost there. The blessings of the Holy Spirit have pretty much stopped flowing into the Syro-Malabar Church as indicated by the produces it produces. We must bring back our Syro-Malabar Church from the clutches of Satan. And that is my highest priority.
There were 8 votes against Bishop and Achan.But 387 votes to support Achan Bishop to expand the church.
